‘Volver' is by far the most personal series of photos I have put together. It is my own visual interpretation of a trip back home due to a family loss.

Documenting these moments meant a lot to me and served as a tribute to a very close person, my grandmother. She had to overcome a lot of difficulties throughout her life, but always had a big smile in front of the camera and enjoyed having photos of her taken. She would have liked to see this series exactly the way its are shown here.
